Hi! My name is Nicki and I am the proud owner of Swim Confident and Splash Academy Swim School. I specialise in aquaphobia and neurodivergent swimmers. I believe helping people achieve their goals associated with water & swimming is incredibly important and personal because every person’s journey is as unique as them! I offer group classes out of Aitkenvale State School pool and private sessions, including mobile services.
Locations: Bushland Beach (private sessions), Aitkenvale State School pool (group lessons and private sessions), or your pool, or nominated public pool in the greater Townsville area.

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for all the guidance, support, and encouragement Nicki provided throughout my swimming journey. My fear of being in water seemed insurmountable but Nicki’s patience and understanding nature helped me overcome my fear step by step. Nicki never rushed me instead, provided a safe and nurturing environment that allowed me to gradually build my confidence in the water.
Nicki always knew how to challenge me just enough to push me out of my comfort zone without overwhelming me. I now feel comfortable and at ease in any swimming environment, and I owe it all to Nicki! Nicki Corkill can work in any way the swimmer needs. She can give time or work fast. She can be firm and fair or fun as can be. Nicki understands the fundamentals of learning to move through the water and can relate it to anyone, whatever stage they are at.
