Refund Policy

Refund policy for donations:

AUTISM SWIM is committed to recognising and respecting the financial contributions people make to our cause. We recognise the importance of donations and want to ensure we implement appropriate principles of transparency and fairness in regard to the management of refunds.

Refunds of the amount pledged to be donated will not automatically be made simply because you have changed your mind. It is for this reason that we ask that you to carefully consider the amount you wish to donate.

AUTISM SWIM will consider all requests for refunds to ensure that genuine errors are rectified as soon as possible, however we are not obliged to provide refunds and the decision to do so will be at Autism Swim’s management’s discretion.

A refund may be granted if:

The donor entered the incorrect amount upon check-out

There is a check-out error resulting in duplicate donations

An error is made by AUTISM SWIM or our financial institution

We will honour all requests for refund that are made in writing within 30 days of the date the donation was made. The written refund request should include the details of the initial transaction including date, donation amount, donor’s name, tax invoice number or order number, and the nature of the error.

If a donation is refunded, the original tax receipt is no longer valid. If a donation amount is adjusted by AUTISM SWIM, the original receipt issued will become invalid and a new receipt will be issued for the adjusted donation amount.

Refunds will be returned using the original method of payment – if donation has been made by credit card, the refund must be credited to the same credit card holder.

Refunds for merchandise:

Unless deemed faulty, Autism Swim does not offer refunds on merchandise purchased. Exchange of sizes is permitted, if postage is paid for and the garment being replaced, is returned in original condition.



Refunds on training/certification programs:

Refunds are not permitted on online training or certification packages UNLESS:

  • An error is made by the customer in checking-out online
  • An error is made by AUTISM SWIM or our financial institution

A refund request due to exceptional circumstances may be made.


 

Refunds for merchandise:

To reduce overheads for AS as a charity, our merchandise is outsourced to Print on Demand service Print Locker. Check out our merchandise page here.

All AS merchandise returns and refunds are subject to Print Locker's Returns Policy and any return or refund enquiry must be communicated directly with Print Locker.
